Supporting Czech involvement in international defence projects. As the National Focal Point for the European Defence Fund (EDF) in the Czech Republic, it facilitates information sharing, coordination, and matchmaking.

Within NATO, AOBP cooperates with agencies such as NIAG, STO, NSPA, and NCIA to promote Czech industry participation in research, projects, and tenders.

The Association is also a member of leading international organizations including ASD, EDTA, ENDR, and ECCP, and maintains partnerships with numerous foreign defence and security industry associations.

The Defence and Security Industry Association of the Czech Republic (AOBP) officially represents the Czech defence and security industry and maintains cooperation agreements with the Ministries of Defence, Industry and Trade, Foreign Affairs, and Interior. This collaboration provides a significant advantage in negotiations with both national authorities and international partners.

AOBP actively protects and promotes the business interests of its members through continuous dialogue with the Parliament, Government, Ministries, national institutions, and global organizations. It plays a key role in strengthening export capabilities, facilitating connections between Czech and international businesses, and supporting participation in major acquisition programs, including tenders for the Czech Armed Forces and international defence projects.

In addition to political and commercial advocacy, AOBP provides its members with business, economic, and professional consulting services, organizes educational programs and promotional activities, and coordinates events, research, development, and testing of military equipment and technologies. These efforts aim to foster a competitive and innovative environment within the European Union and NATO frameworks.

AOBP ensures that Czech companies remain at the forefront of global defence and security innovation through its comprehensive activities.

The Defence and Security Industry Association of the Czech Republic (AOBP) was established in 1997 as an interest association of corporate bodies involved in the research, development, production, distribution, and marketing services of military and security equipment, material, and infrastructure. The Association is a non-governmental, independent, non-political, non-profit, and non-trading organization that represents over 220 member companies.
