RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATION
Vojenský výzkumný ústav, s.p. (The Military Research Institute) is a State enterprise established by the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic.
The main mission of the Institute is research, development, expert support, special services and realisation of products, including strategic deliveries for military and security applications.
The technical competences of the Institute are focused on military and security aspects of protection in three basic areas: Chemical, biological and radiation protection, Electronic warfare and camouflage and Materials engineering.
Some activity scopes of the Institute are unique within the Czech Republic, namely the fields of military chemistry, camouflage and sophisticated ballistic and mine protection technologies.
CBRN PROTECTION • Detection and Identification of chemical warfare agents and ionising radiation, automation and robotization of CBRN reconnaissance, Decontamination, Testing and Experiments with Live Toxic Substances
ELECTRONIC WARFARE AND CAMOUFLAGE • Passive systems for reconnaissance, detection, identification and tracking of electromagnetic signals, as well as jamming of their emitters.• Camouflage and deception
MATERIALS ENGINEERING • Ballistic systems and technologies and blast protection of of military vehicles, critical military infrastructure and 3D printing of its spare parts.
TESTINGCENTER • Climate and Corrosion Resistance Testing • Materials Testing • Camouflage Testing • CBRN Detection and Protection Testing
